CBD Regulatory Agency Formed

Bernard Hughes / Spokesperson for the CBDRA.org announced today that the CBD Regulatory agency has been Formed .

Washington DC ( June 4th 2015 ) - A long time in the making, cbdra.org is a industry-formed, self-regulating coalition formed by manufacturers and industry leaders as a whole to improve consumer safety and product quality of cannabidiol-based products. Bernard stated that our mission is to raise the bar and lift the (CBD) cannabidiol industry to new heights of acceptance in world-wide commerce. Bernard said that while many companies that are in the marketplace are honest and reputable business people, several of the vapor manufactures have been making vapors and e-liquids literally out of their garages and basements; many having no experience or quality control .

In late February 2015, FDA issued several warning letters to firms that market unapproved drugs for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation treatment or prevention of diseases. Some of these firms claim that their products contain cannabidiol (CBD). FDA has tested those products and, in some of them, did not detect any CBD. It is important to note that these products are not approved by FDA for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of any disease, and often they do not even contain the ingredients found on the label. Consumers should beware purchasing and using any such products.

The FDA results can be found at the following link and also on the cbdra.org website:

In the past many unscrupulous companies have been selling CBD based products claiming a large amount of CBD in the oils, tinctures, vapors and creams while the truth is they actually contained zero CBD. The cbdra.org has contracted with several leading testing agencies/labs and will be randomly testing members and non-member manufacturers' products.

The results of these tests will be kept online for the public to view at: www.CBDRA.org

Several respected manufactures all over the USA who are members of the recent coalition have responded with a positive industry outlook - Wayne Smeal of CBD Distribution a major player in the COLORADO area stated, "We are happy to be part of this exciting time in history and on the forefront of the battle to allow the American people to get naturally occurring CBD in a safe, healthy and tested format."

Eddie Q from the well respected brand HOLY GRAIL based in CALIFORNIA stated, "Finally an organization that's doing something for the good of the people and not it's own pocketbook. Thanks CBDRA.ORG

"David Zeuner/ Ceo of Miracle Smoke Inc FLORIDA, which currently has several well recognized brands in the marketplace such as Miracle Smoke, Cannajuanna vape , and the Pure Vida line stated, "We are extremely proud to be part of this exciting groundbreaking CBD market. We feel that this new cbdra.org will help to quell the current climate of discord and mistrust in the marketplace." He stated, "I feel there is plenty of room in the CBD space for new competition as long as the marketplace self regulates and ensures the products are the best quality possible."

Bernard Hughes added, "If you are in the market for CBD products to sell in your vapor store, do not buy or stock any products unless they are approved by cbdra.org otherwise you may actually lose a valuable customer base and may even be opening yourself up to product liability issues. Look for the CBDRA logo before you buy!"

Manufactures of CBD and vapor companies that would like to find out more, join CBDRA.org or submit a product application are encouraged to email the organization at membership@cbdra.org.
