Like many companies in the smoking industry, Ego Tech USA started with their main focus towards e-cigarettes, vaporizers, and atomizers in 2013.

We caught up with Henry Chung, Ego Tech USA, to discuss the evolution of his business.

When they fi rst began off ering generic/aff ordable products such as ce4, ego batteries, mods, Henry and his team strived for the best customer service. Not only did Henry want to sell these products, but also wanted to know the needs and demands of the products directly from you the consumer.

In summer 2013 the company was presented an opportunity to improve not just the design, but also the effi ciency of the product. Products that were available during that time worked but didn’t impress Chung to the level he felt vaporizers were capable of. Once Henry gave this thought he began putting lot of energy into research and development. In October, 2013 the company successfully launched their fi rst 2 new products including Th e Vhit Boom & M3 Dry Tank.

“Whenever there’s something new it’s always important you unveil it at the right time. Knowing this, we decided the best place to get consumer reactions would be at the Champ Tradeshow in Denver, CO. Both the VhitBoom & M3 Dry Tank were very well received due to their sleek designs and innovative technology. Th e Vhit Boom is the fi rst of its kind that comes with a patented carb design. Th is carb design allows for air to fl ow through the chamber to create not only potent, but also aesthetically pleasing smoke within that chamber. Though the vaporizer still combust we feel their unique designs and functionality bring a lot of recognition to our company despite those short-comings.”

Th e M3 Dry Tank garnered quite a lot of attention on its own as-well. Th e M3 is a dry tank with a push down spring-loaded mouth piece to assist with packing and cleaning for the consumer. When packed this spring-loaded mouth piece pushes all the contents of the chamber down towards the coil, they included this feature as to avoid packing more frequently. In terms of cleaning, once the chamber has been used simply push down on the mouth piece to remove all ash and debris, that’s really all there is to it. Sadly despite the patents this particular model has been duplicated by many factories in China, as-well as sold in what they estimate are thousands of stores worldwide within only 6 months of its release.

Henry had this to say regarding the duplications: “I’m not discouraged if my products are being copied, all that tells me is that we must be doing something right if others feel the need to copy in that way.“

“Only the best products get copied and imitations are often regarded as the highest form of flattery. We want to be known as the company that always has the newest product, our goal is to keep innovating and providing consumers the best possible products imaginable.”

In January 2014, Chung released another set of 3 new products including the E-bob 2in1, The Discreet, and The Mini. E-bob 2in1 is a new wax tank which includes a water attachment to filter the smoke within the chamber. The Discreet is in its name, a dry herb tank best used for those moments when portability is needed while still retaining a large chamber for packing. The Mini on the other hand is a duel-purpose complete set that can be used on dry herb as-well as wax. “All of these products are setting the new standard you should all come to expect from us.”

So, what is Ego Tech doing Next? First, they have successfully acquired another brand “ Yocan”. By acquiring this brand/factory, they are now able to offer the following services: 1) Best pricing. 2) Local customer service for returns/warranty. 3) Yocan provides a direct link from china to the market.

“We feel confident this new brand will further help attract more stores/businesses to carry our product by purchasing directly from China,” said Henry.

“ Yocan can provide a direct link between the whole sellers to the factory, while enjoying the security of having the parent company in the U.S.”

Second, Ego Tech successfully developed a new technology called “ Nero Technology”. Th is is a completely new heating element that does not require coil or wick in the atomizer. When applied, the heating element inside the atomizer will heat up as high as 1500 degrees within 1 second. When it touches wax or dry herb it will then heat up to 600 degrees within 1 second. Th is level of heat creates an experience reminiscent of using a titanium dome-less nail, it does not require a torch or lighter. Th e heating element is also very thin, which makes it perfect to apply within small atomizers.

“With this technology we’re very proud to announce that we have successful created the fi rst “battery operated nail” for the wax lovers. Also, we’ve further improved the current “dome wax” type pen by applying this technology to the market. We believe that many of the consumers will fall in love with this technology from the moment they fi rst use it. Not to mention the various benefi ts that will bring to consumers directly.”

Th ey also developed a new “True Vape Dry Tank” that people can use and operate on a single EVOD or Ego battery. Th is new dry tank will vape instead of combust and people can operate it all with one single battery. Th e result will be the same/better than most of the “true vaporizers” on the market, without the large price tag.

And fi nally, “We didn’t forget about all our e-liquid consumers. We’re currently hard at work developing an e-liquid tank that will utilize the “Nero Technology, Th is will correct the issue of taste that comes from the wick while in use.”
