Maryland Governor Signs Cannabis Legalization Bill

Maryland Governor Signs Cannabis Legalization Bill, Adult-Use Sales Begin July 1.

Maryland will officially start adult-use cannabis sales on July 1 after Governor Wes Moore signed a legalization bill into law this week. Adults over 21 can possess 1.5 ounces of cannabis flower and 12 grams of concentrates but may not exceed 750 mg total in THC products. Existing medical cannabis dispensaries will have the option to add adult use to their licenses, with new licenses to be issued within one year.

Maryland’s adult-use market is projected to reach a value of $2.1 billion by 2027. If you want to be a part of the next wave of cannabis entrepreneurs, be sure to check out Lucky Leaf Expo Baltimore.
